Dell Hledik, Contracting Officer, (760) 939-3772 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure on an other than open competition basis, up to 50 each additional SLAM ER warhead cases and fuzewells from Defense Research, Inc., Anniston, AL. The cases and fuzewells will be procured in a modification to existing contract number N68936-97-C-0251. The contractor will build the cases and fuzewells to Government drawings on a fixed price basis. The warhead housings will be forged to MIL-F-83142A Titanium alloy (6AL-4V) specification. The housings shall be manufactured using forgings, electron-beam welding and machining processes. The finished warhead cases are approximately 41 inches long by 14 inches diameter.
