This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, a quote is being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation N61339-99-Q-4024 is issued as a request for quote and incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The solicitation shall be awarded on a sole source basis to Precision Contract Manufacturing, Springfield, VT. The SIC Code for this solicitation is 3572 with a size standard of 1000. The following items are required: CLIN 0001, Solid State Disk Replacement Unit, provides plug-compatible emulation of 2 DEC RK05 2.5MB Cartridge Disk Drives, compatible with all PDP-11 computer disk driver programs used with RK05 Cartridge Disk Drives, with rack-mounting hardware kit, user documentation, P/N: 8256-G02-CBAV, 5 each; CLIN 0002, Cartridge Disk Library Option for Solid-State Disk Replacement Unit, provides Syquest 3.5", 105-Megabyte removable cartridge disk drive, capable of loading and storing multiple RK05 Disk Data Images from the solid-state disk replacement unit to a single Syquest 3.5" 105MB removable data cartridge, capable to automatically loading default RK05 disk data images into the solid state disk replacement unit when power is turned on, fully compatible with the 8256-G02-CBAV solid-state disk replacement units, to be factory-installed in the each of the 8256-G02-CBAV solid state disk replacement units (CLIN 0001), P/N: 8256-G90-CBAV. Delivery shall be made no later than 90 days after award to Pensacola, FL 32508; acceptance shall be made at destination upon delivery. Delivery shall be made FOB destination.
