Requirements The Department of Navy information technology
architectures evolve around asynchronous transfer mode (ATM). ATM
technologies converge voice, video, and data. The ATM equipment shall
perform detailed tests that measure performance, standard conformance,
and quality of service. The listed equipment; hardware/ software
enables the Technical Support Team to access, evaluate, analyze and
test the latest ATM networking technology releases. EQUIPMENT SHALL
CONTAIN: a. Modular chassis with up to 16 slots; 4 slot minimum b.
Ethernet 10baseT remote control access c. Windows NT Based Controller
Software d. 622MBps (OC-12) and 155MBps (OC-3) generation & analysis e.
ATM Cell generation capabilities -- AAL0, AAL1, AAL2, AAL3/4, AAL5 f.
Able to generate up to 7 independent streams of mixed Constant Bit Rate
(CBR) & Variable Bit Rate (VBR) cell traffic per port g. Traffic
shaping capability on all cell streams h. UNI 3.0/3.1/4.0 SVC signaling
emulation capability i. OAM Cell generation & analysis j. Quality of
Service (QoS) Analysis for 2000+ simultaneous cell streams at FULL LINE
RATE 100% utilization. QoS Performance Measurements to include: Cell
sequence number Transmission time stamp Single cell or cross cell PRBS
pattern Payload CRC k. Automatic sub stream filtering by VPI/VCI and
AAL type l. Substream Analysis and Statistics to include: Cell count,
cell loss and cell loss ratio Misinsertion cell count and rate Errored
cell count and rate Block count and severely erred block count and
ratio Out-of-sequence cell count Mean, minimum, and maximum cell
transfer delay Mean, minimum, and maximum cell interarrival time Cell
