The Federal Highway Administration intends to issue a purchase order to the Transportation Research Board (TRB) to co-sponsor the _Workshop on the Development of a Highway Safety Manual._ This workshop, which is an outgrowth of discussion during the 1999 TRB Annual Meeting, will develop a consensus position on the scope of content, organization, development process, and funding sources for the manual, as well as document this position. This workshop is the only known workshop on the Development of a Highway Safety Manual at this time, therefore, TRB is the only known source who can provide this service.
