The Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to acquire on a firm fixed price, Time and Materials, IDIQ basis engineering services in support of Code 4.3. Services shall include equipment and services for the study of corrosivity and the measurement, thereof, utilizing an Intelligent Corrosivity Sensor System as applied to naval aircraft and other equipment. The hardware and services provided shall allow the contractor to collect, log and analyze information on environmental corrosivity. The system would include corrosivity sensor elements, intelligent corrosivity sensor electronics with 916.5 MHz transceivers, Data Gathering Units (DGUs), computer interface cabling, and data collection and analysis software. This acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with Systems and Processes Engineering Corporation (SPEC) of Austin, TX under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement) and Numbered Note 22.
