This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this purchase order will be to disseminate information about emergency medical services for children relating to pediatric poisonings. Tasks include a report of pediatric poisonings which will be published on the AAPCC website and provided to the EMSC clearinghouse; a journal article of pediatric poisonings reported to the AAPCC Toxic Exposure Surveillance System; development of facts sheets for public education of poison prevention; and weekly updates via web postings on toxicologic issues. The period of performance is one year. The AAPCC is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services.
