Disinfection Technologies Verification NSF International (Ann Arbor,
MI) is partnering with US EPA National Risk Management Research
Laboratory (Edison, NJ) and the US EPA Office of Research and
Development to accelerate the development and commercialization of
technologies used in the control and abatement of wet weather flows by
providing independent third-party verification and reporting of
performance. The morning session of this vendor meeting will focus on
ETV Verification of flow meters suitable for use with wet weather flow
applications including combined sewer, SSO and stormwater collection
system applications. The afternoon session will focus on ETV
Verification of technologies used in the treatment and control of CSO,
SSO and urban stormwater runoff. These technologies include but are
not limited to enhanced physical/chemical separation technologies,
ballasted sedimentation/flocculation technologies, vortex separators,
and disinfection technologies such as high-rate UV equipment, induction
mixers, and innovative high-rate chemical disinfection technologies.
Vendors (manufacturers, developers) of these and other innovative wet
weather flow technologies are encouraged to attend to learn more about
the USEPA Environmental Technology Verification Program and its
potential benefits. Vendors will have the opportunity to ask questions
and provide input on the parameters of verification and on the
proposed schedule for equipment testing. Among the items to be
presented: the objectives of the ETV Program and the Wet Weather Flow
Technologies Pilot; the roles and expectations of all participants and
stakeholder groups; the development of verification testing protocols;
the availability of ETV Pilot funds to cover verification testing
costs; the application process for verification; the issuance of
Verification Reports and Verification Statements under the ETV program.
The meetings are open to anyone interested in learning more about the
ETV Program. WEFTEC '99 Registration is not required for attendance at
this ETV Meeting. For more information about the ETV program or to
