This is a notice of intent to negotiate with Orbital Sciences Corporation, 20301 Century Boulevard, Germantown, MD 20874 on an other than full and open competitive basis to purchase eight (8) each MDLRS (Mission Data Load Receptacles), P/N: Model 300. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other Supplies or Services will satisfy the agency requirements. Orbital Sciences Corporation is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the MDLRS and has the requisite knowledge to fulfill the requirement. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with Orbital Sciences Corporation. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price type contract will be awarded with delivery to take place 120 days from time of award.
