The Defense Logistics Agency plans to award a contract for the purpose of providing improved logistics support to the military customer for multiple Boeing sole source NSNs (which the Government does not have Technical data) applicable to various fighter weapon systems (i.e., F-15, AV-8B and F-18). The contract will be an Indefinite Quantity-type Contract for a two-year base period of performance with five one-year option periods. Contractor will assume total supply chain management which includes inventory management (if necessary), distribution, parts acquisition and material forecasting. Benefits expected from this arrangement are significantly decreased order ship times, Government reductions in inventory and overall reduction in Government costs in providing logistics support. Contractor will be required to provide direct vendor delivery to the customer and be capable of providing, at a minimum, a 95% issue rate within 10 days or less. Contractor may be required to forecast the customer's future needs and develop required levels of inventory to ensure issue rate is maintained. Contractor must be capable of providing value-added services, if necessary, such as technical support, Customer Service Representatives (i.e., liaison support for specific military customer), and meet surge and sustainment requirements during times of mobilization. Provision for expansion of the contract will be included and may require contractor to partner with other contractors in order for complete weapon system platform support to be achieved. The solicitation will be solicited on an unrestricted basis IAW 10 USC 2304(c)(1).
