28 -- ENGINE CONVERSION KITS, COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) SOL M67004-99-Q-0056 POC Sgt Donald Jones, Code 89-1, (912)439-6715 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This action is unrestricted regarding business size. The following is a list of requirements: (17)Compressed Natural Gas conversion kits for direct diesel fuel injection trucks consisting of; (10 3 ton stake trucks; (6)5 ton tractor trucks; and (1) dump-master truck. Prospective offerors may arrange an opportunity to visit the Garrison Mobile Equipment Branch to inspect each diesel truck prior to quoting. Offerors must include any brochures, pictures, drawings, etc., describing their equipment. Installation is not part of this requirement; however, contractor supervised, hands-on training for MCLB mechanics on the installation of the CNG conversion kit is required. Hands-on training to be accomplished on-site at the Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA. See point of contact for Addendum containing specific line item descriptions. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, MCLB Albany, GA with inspection/acceptance at destination. Delivery-will be coordinated with requesting activity, after award. FAR Clauses/Provisions: 52.203-3, Gratuities, 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commerical Items, The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be the best value to the Government. The offeror should also provide its Commercial and Government Entity (Cage) code, Contractor Establishment code (DUNS number) and Tax identification Number. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register to be eligible for award. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
