The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a sole source contract to Sea Con/Phoenix, Inc. for four (4) units of Transmit Copper 2SWF24 125' cable, three (3) units of Receive Copper TSPR 142' cable and three (3) units of Receive Fiber Optic M85045/21-01 75' cable. The test cables must be delivered to the array manufacturer as Government Furnished Equipment in February 2000. Delaying this contract award will delay array deliveries and have an adverse effect on the performance and readiness of the fleet. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation and no formal solicitation will be issued. Sea Con/Phoenix is the only qualified manufacturer at this time. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated.
