N -- INSTALLATION OF WALK-IN REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER SOL RFQ-0013-9 DUE 101599 POC Reginald Burgess, Contracting Officer 310-732-5236 Fax 310-732-5334 The Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, California, is soliciting sources to install a walk-in freezer/cooler system. The system consists of: (a) walk-in freezer, approximately 628 square feet with a 8'x10' high, manual bi-parting door, (b) walk-in freezer, L shaped, approximately 1098 square feet, 10'-6' high, with one 60"x84" freezer door, (c) walk-in cooler, aproximately 200 square feet, 10'-6' high, with one 54"x84" door, (d) install a 4hp medium temperature refrigeration system for the approximately 402 square foot room, (e) walk-in cooler approximately 166 square feet, 9'1-1/2" high, with one 54"x84" cooler door, (f) walk-in cooler approximately 80 square feet, 9'-1-1/2" high, with one 48"x84"door, (g) walk-in cooler approximately 126 square feet, 9'-1-1/2" high, with one 48"x84" door, (h) walk-in cooler approximately 230 square feet, 9'-1-1/2" high, with a 48"x84" door. All panels, doors and mechanical equipment shall be provided by the Government. The Manaufacturer of the panels,doors and equipment is Penn Refrigeration Service Corporation, Wilkes-Barre, PA. The contractor shall supply all materials and labor to install the refrigeration system. Due to the nature of the work to be accomplished, contractors are "required" to attend a pre-bid conference. Solicitation packages should be available on September 24, 1999. Only 8 solicitation packages are going to be available on a first come first serve basis.
