Beaverhead county, Montana. Project consists of 10.880 km of grading,
drainage, base, paving, 5 precast concrete bridges (3 roadway and 2
snowmobile). Project includes construction survey & staking; contractor
sampling & testing; construction schedules; removal of structures &
obstructions, including1 bridge and concrete headwalls; monuments &
markers; temporary traffic control; wetland mitigation items; 5,800
meter silt fence; 100 meter temp. 600 mm culvert pipe; 300 ea check
dams; 100 meter diversion channels; 25,000 cu meter watering for dust
control; 35 ha clearing & grubbing; 10,000 sq meter roadway
obliteration; 1,000 cu meter class 2 riprap; 200,000 cu meter rdwy
excavation; 7,200 cu meter subexcavation; 2,400 cu meter class 5
riprap; 700 sq meter wire faced earth retaining wall; 58,000 ton
untreated aggregate courses; 500 ton road maintenance aggregate; 36,000

1,010 meter various size culverts; 312 meter underdrains; 100 meter
asphalt concrete curb; 700 meter guardrail; 18,000 meter fence; 5 each
cattleguard; 88 each gates; 200,000 sq meter topsoil; 200 slury units
seeding & mulching; 18 sq meter traffic signs; 80,000 meter striping;
7,800 flagger hrs; 500 pilot car hrs; and other smaller items of work.
Project is located approximately 40 km NW of Dillon, Montana. Work
shall be completed by October 15, 2001. Estimated price range is
between $5,000,000 and 10,000,000. Presolicitation Notices are being
provided to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the
publication of this synopsis. The following applies only to Minority,

Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing
and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's
Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment
bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program
(STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum
