Protection Agency has a requirement for a contractor to investigate the
capabilities of an existing linked hydrologic-atmospheric model that is
being evaluated for its multimedia modeling functionality. To
accomplish this goal, the contractor shall perform the following tasks:
1) Apply and calibrate the TOPLATS-MM5 hydrologic-atmospheric model to
the Sandy Run watershed, which is a sub-basin of the Neuse River basin
in North Carolina. 2) Scope out the feasibility of applying the
TOPLATS-MM5 model to the Contentnea Crease watershed basin, the Neuse
River basin, and the Albermarle-Pamlico drainage basin. 3) Provide
technical advice on linking TOPLATS-MM5 to a groundwater model. This
requirement will be issued under simplified acquisition procedures.
This is NOT a small business set-aside, however, the SIC Code is 7371
which has a size standard of $18 million. The Request for Quotation
will be issued on or about September 28, 1999 and will be available via
the Internet World Wide Web at http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd only.
Hard copies or diskettes will not be available. Telephone requests will
