THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is TAW-4 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation documented and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) anticipates that the contract will be awarded as a result of full and open competition. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The period of performance is October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. The contractor shall provide hardware and OS maintenance support for Compaq Proliant Servers. The offeror must be an authorized Microsoft Support vendor. The scope of work is as follows: The contractor shall provide maintenance coverage 24 hours, 7 days per week with 4 hour response time and unlimited named contacts 100 incidents, onsite evaluation and 10 hours consulting per new configuration.
