The Contracting Command at Fort Hood, Texas, has a requirement for the servicing of 17 Reefer Vans on the installation. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes as the solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number to refer to in response to this notice is W45CKX-9244-N020. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial items. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this solicitation is 7623 ($5M). This requirement contains one CLIN for the purpose of issuing an unpriced purchase order: CLIN 0001 -- Service, 17 each Reefer Vans. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, and supervision necessary to restore stored Reefer Vans to fully operation condition. A site visit is scheduled for 20 September 1999 at 9:30 am Central Standard Time. Site Visit will commence at Contracting Command, Bldg 1001 on the above date and time.
