Mendoza (309) 782-0243 DESC: 1005-01-441-4163, Part Number 11826165, The item to procure is a Cover Assembly for the M240/E1 Machine Gun consisting of springs (4), bracket assy. and holding pawls, guide, cartridge T, consisting of carbon steel bar stock machined to close tolerances. Guide cartridge, rear same as F. Pin, pawl retaining heat treated steel alloy bar stock machined. Lever, feed steel investment casting heat treated. Clip spring, tension feed lever and latch, cover steel. Any award resulting from this solicitation will be a five year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract, with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 50 each. The proposed solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. FOB is Destination. First Article Test Report is a requirement. Estimated issue date is 5 Oct 1999. All or a part of this action is an unfunded requirement. No award will be made on a contract resulting from this solicitation unless the Secretary of Defense determines that this requirement is not necessary to preserve the SmallArms Production Industrial Base under the provisions of 10 USC 2473(a) as amended by Section 809 of Public Law 105-261. The contracting activity is currently seeking such a determination, however when, or if, this determination will be received is unknown. Should no such determination be received, or should it not be received in a timely manner, the Government will not be responsible for proposal preparations costs. Bidders are hereby notified that in order to receive the technical data package, all bidders are required to execute a nondisclosure agreement binding each bidder to the terms and conditions of the agreement. The nondisclosure agreement will be posted to the web as an attachment to the solicitation. The nondisclosure agreement must be signed by an official authorized to legally bind the company.
