The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service is seeking a formal proposal
exclusively from the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council, Inc., in
conducting a feasibility study on the contractability of the Indian
Health Service's Santa Fe Service Unit, located in Santa Fe, New
Mexico. The Contractor shall conduct an assessment of affiliation,
protocols, leases and facilities for the population of the ten (10)
Native American Indian Tribes served by the Santa Fe Service Unit,
analyze the information and data collected and develop a collaborative
relationship with the Service Unit, Health Centers, and Health
Stations where direct medical services are provided. Data collected
shall also be used in determining whether the ten tribes should
contract under the auspices of Title I or Title III of P.L. 93-638,
Indian Self Determination and Edcuational Assistance Act, or maintain
a status quo environment in the management of the Santa Fe Service
Unit. Announcement of the proposed acquisition is for informational
purposes only. Proposed contract will be a period of one (1) year
beginning September 27, 1999 with four (4) one year options. A formal
