E-MAIL: Angel L. Pagan, angel.l.pagan@grc.nasa.gov. NASA/GRC plans to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the rehabilitation and modification of building 106 at GRC. Work consists of replacing existing 120/208 & 480 volt power panels and power distribution, replacing existing distrubution cabling with new bus duct system, and replacing existing motor control centers. Optional work consists of replacing existing fume hood exhaust with a new fume hood exhaust that utilizes an exhaust manifold. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500K -- 1M and the effort shall be completed within 420 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside.[See Note 1]. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small busines size standard for this procurement are 1731 and $7M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about September 29, 1999 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about October 29, 1999. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 13. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB. All responsible qualified sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
