synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #959066,
the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-12. This solicitation is under
the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)and is unrestricted. The
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3861, and the Business
Size Standard is 500 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price
Contract. The Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI)requirement is as
follow: AGFA (brand name)refurbish MSC 100 Printer: Quantity:1 EA; with
the following accessories: Quantity of 1 Each: 645 Lens to 8x10; 120
Vario Lens 8506/123; 120 Vario Lens 8506/122; 645 Negative Carrier; 6x6
Negative Carrier; Spare Paper Magazine; Accessory Keyboard; and Exhaust
Funnel. The technical specifications of the brand name is as follow:
Print sizes: 3.5" x 5" to 8" x 12"; 4"x6" prints at 850 prints/hour;
8"x12" prints at 350 prints/hour; Film types: 135, 110, 120, 220, ;
Dual Paper Magazine; Processing time: 3 minute 39 seconds and Total
Film Scanning (T.F.S.) technology. The Government minimum requirement
is that the printer shall have the capability of connecting to existing
AGFA digital attachment & Pixtasy workstation; shall have T.F.S.
technology; shall be auto system calibration with integrated test
negative; built-in densitometer and auto frame positioning. Standard
Commercial Warranty is required. Delivery 60 days after receipt of
order (ARO), -- FOB -Dest. to Cheverly, Maryland, 20781. -- Unless
clearly marked that the offeror is quoting on an equal' the offered
item shall be considered as the brand name product referenced in this
announcement. Any different brand name offered shall be indicated on
the quote. The evaluation and the determination as to the equality of
the product, if not brand name, shall be the responsibility of the
Government and will be based on information furnished by the offeror.
The Government is not responsible for locating or securing any
information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably
available. To ensure sufficient information is available, the offeror
must furnish as a part of the quotation- all descriptive material (such
as cuts, illustrations, drawings or other information) necessary for
the Government to determine whether the equal' product meets the
salient characteristics of the requirement. If the offeror proposed to
modify a product so as to make it conform to the requirement, then
proposed modifications shall clearly be marked with descriptive
materials to show modifications. The government reserves the right to
request product samples which can be tested for compatibility and
provided at no additional cost. The following FAR clauses and
provisions are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition:

Commercial Items (May 1999). Each offeror shall include a completed
copy of the FAR Provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and
Certifications (June 1999) with its offer. All responsible sources may
submit a quote which, if timely received, shall be considered by the
Government. The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose
offer conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the
Government. Offerors will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 52.212-2
Evaluation-Commercial Items (May 1999). The following factors shall be
used to evaluate offers: Technical specifications, and price in
descending order of importance. Offers are encouraged to use the
Standard Form (SF) 1449-Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial
Items -- found on Internet at http://www.gsa.gov/forms. The point of

received by the date/time and at the location specified in this
announcement, that it will be considered late/non-responsive in
