click here, dan.agrimson@med.va.gov. The VA Medical Center (VAMC),
Minneapolis, Minnesota, intends to award a contract for a complete and
comprehensive digital dictation system. The contractor must provide
all hardware, software, and new wiring for complete system. The digital
desk stations with optical scanner, mike, and keyboard must be
dedicated and able to transfer voice and data digitally from point of
dictation to recorder. The dedicated desk dictation stations must also
include hands free mike, foot pedal, optical scanner, wireless mike,
and be integrated to the Pathology Lab. Dictation must be able to be
enabled by telephone. The dedicated digital desk transcription stations
with interactive displays must be able to be used at local and remote
locations. Vendor shall provide warranty terms and support options.
Vendor will provide two management consoles with a graphical user
interface. The console must operate by keyboard, mouse, or touch
screens. Each recorder must be capable of at least 400 hours of
redundant voice storage. Therecorder must have a minimum of 48
simultaneous input/output activities, with future expansion
capabilities. Solicitation will be available approximately September
30, 1999. Site walk/ informational meeting to be scheduled at a later
