Truesdel Contracting Officer!! (i) This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance
with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; price quotations are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. (ii) For the purpose of this
acquisition the solicitation number is MDA946-99-T-0600, this is a
request for quotation. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-13, dated 7/2/99. (iv) This procurement is opened to Small
Business Concerns only and is 100% Setaside for Small Businesses. The
Small Business Industrial Classification for this type of service is
7699 with annual receipts of $5.09 million. (v) Provide a quote for the
following Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) as follows: CLIN 0001
hourly rate to provide maintenance and repairs for classified Fax
Machines located throughout the Department of Defense multiplied by 20
estimated number of units. CLIN 0002 hourly rate to provide
maintenance and repairs for unclassified Fax Machines located
throughout the Department of Defense multiplied by 150 estimated number
of units. (vi) Description -- Services, Non-Personal. The contractor
shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and
transportation necessary to provide repair and maintenance of
classified and unclassified fax machines located throughout the
Department of Defense. (See attached listing). All services shall be
coordinated with the using activity point of contact. The contractor
shall provide a signed service ticket along with a properly prepared
invoices to include contract number to the DOD/OSD/WHS, Real Estate and
Facilities Contracting Office, 1155 Defense, Pentagon, Room 5A523,
Attention: Ms. Sheila Joseph, Contract Specialist, Washington, DC
20301-1155. All contractual questions should be directed to the
attention of Sheila Joseph, Contract Specialist or Ms. Donna Truesdel,
Contracting Officer. The Government reserves the right to add or
delete classified and unclassified fax machines to the contract through
modification. Services will be required for various models to include
the following brand name fax machines: Panasonic, Monroe, Muratec,
Ilex, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Mitek Ricoh, Hewlett Packard, Brother,
Pitney Bowes, Panafax, Sharp, Okifax, Konica, and Murata. (vii)
Services required within 6-8 hours of service call. The period of
performance is 1 October 99 through 30 September 00. (viii) FAR clause
52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial applies to this
acquisition. (ix) FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items
is not included. The Government intends to evaluate quotes and award a
contract without discussions. However, the Government reserves the
right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting
Officer is necessary. The Government may reject any or all quotes if
such action is in the public interest; accept other than the lowest
quote; and waive informalities and minor irregularities in offer
received. The Government will award a contract resulting from this
solicitation to the lowest responsive, responsible offeror whose offer
is the lowest aggregate quote. To determine the lowest aggregate quote
the Government will multiply the hourly rate quoted for CLIN 0001 by 20
(estimated number of units) and multiply the hourly rate quoted for
CLIN 0002 by 150 (estimated number of units). The combined sum of CLIN
0001 and CLIN0002 will constitute the total aggregate quote. (x)
Offers are required to provide a completed copy of the provision at
52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items
with their offer. (xi) FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract terms and
Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. (xii) FAR
clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement
Statues or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items applies to this
Acquisition. Applicable Clauses: FAR 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35,
52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-19, and 52.222-41, 52.222.42, 52.222-44,
52.243-1 and 52.232-33. (xiii) In accordance with DFAR Subpart
252.204.7004 -- Central Contractor Registration. Contractors must be
registered with the Department of Defense Central Contractor Registry
in order to be awarded a contract. Vendors may register by way of the
