M -- JOB CORPS INFORMATION TO OFFERORS As a matter of policy, the Office of Job Corps encourages competition and seeks to afford the opportunity for all qualified firms to compete for contracts to operate Job Corps centers, and/or provide Outreach/Admissions and Placement services. Job Corps is particularly interested in affording opportunities to small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and small women-owned businesses. Therefore, Job Corps will host an Orientation Session for firms with the capability to operate a Job Corps Center (SIC 8744) and/or to provide Outreach/Admissions and Placement services (SIC 8331). The session will cover Job Corps' program content, the procurement process, and may include a tour of a local Job Corps Center. The annual orientation session will be held on October 12-15, 1999, beginning at 8:30 A.M., in Room N-3437(C) and (D) at the Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. All participants must register no later than October 8, 1999, and slots per organization may be limited.Requests for reservations should be E-mailed to arebar@doleta.gov.
