The project consists of the removal (in part) and replacement of aged water distribution lines in a manufacturing area of the Radford Arsenal. The new lines will consist of ductile iron pipe, cathodically protected, ranging in size from four to 14 inches in diameter. Service lines of various diameters will emanate from the distribution mains to provide water to various indistroa; facilities. In addition to the distribution lines new water valves will also be required and will be set in valve boxes with above ground signage indicating the nature of the water line and the pipe sizze. Post indicator valves with protective bollards/stanchions will also be required. Existing water service during construction may have to be maintained to a certain extent. Sundry work such as curb replacement due to utility cuts, pavement patching, topsoiling and seedings, erosion protection will also be a part of the project features. Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Duration of project is 180 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT.
