sullivas@forscom.army.mil. Contractor shall furnish all labor,
material, equipment and perform all work necessary for the furnishing
and installing of videoconferencing equipment. Equipment must be an
addressable baseband video distribution system over twisted pair
cabling and controlled from a desktop computer utilizing Information
Internet Server (IIS) system using the existing data network. Equipment
must operate on a dedicated Windows NT Server that will maintain the
data and perform control functions. Equipment must utilize twisted pair
cabling, for video distribution to 25 video network clients and for
return video feedback to the head-end. Completed system must support 25
end-users with videoconferencing capability (including microphone and
camera). Completed system must allow each of the video network clients
to conduct simultaneous access to four, non-controlled, cable
television demodulators, two-video cassette recorder/player, and a
centralized videoconferencing CODEC. Completed system must allow for a
maximum of fiveparticipant multi-point videoconference with the
ability of all video network clients to view a multi-point conference.
Contractor shall integrate equipment with the existing Mobile Command
Post, multimedia system called PESA with audio and video inputs and
outputs. Completed system shall have the ability to be expanded to 48
video network clients and a total of 48 video sources. Equipment must
be self-contained with Windows NT server, preview monitor and head-end
control equipment. The solicitation will be available only from the
internet at www.forscom.army.mil/aacc on or about 17 September 1999.
The Government is using acquisition procedures identified in FAR Parts
12 and 13. Those wishing to submit a quote will be required to also
submit past performance information regarding the successful fielding
of similar systems, a comprehensive equipment/parts list and system
schematic. This action is unrestricted. All offers from responsible
sources will be considered. No telephonic requests for the solicitation
