The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) intends to procure 1 of the following: Hazardous-Duty Mobile Robots, specifications as follows: Robot must be small in size and lightweight, 80-500 Lbs. required size: 35"Long, 16"Wide and 30.5 "High. Travels on two tracks equipped with movable arms that can lift approx. 15 lbs when fully extended. Arms reach 45" horizontally and 84" above the floor, and cameras located on movable arm. All terrain climbing options: 45 degree stairs, 45 degree slopes. Mobility: 16 inch vertical obstcal, 20 inch wide ditch. Environmentally sealed. Tether, Fiber optic or wireless control. Speed: Sustain 4 mph. Fit in truck of car. Equipped with three low-light video cameras, equipped with infrared. Two-way audio communication, microphone, and speaker mounted on robot. 12-gauge sidewinder shotgun can be mounted on robot. 12" opening gripper with continuous wrist roll. Batteries, two 17.2 Amp-hour, 12 VDC Gel-Cell. Laser assembly, Radio Control System, Night Vision Kit whichcontains a black and white replacement camera/lid assembly that fints into the existing surveillance camera mechanism. Kit also includes an infrared filter for the lamp. Both the arm and surveillane cameras can receive clear infrared images in total darkness. Video display headset assembly, Fiber Optic Cable reel assembly, spare fiber optic cable, tool kit, 24 VDC Battery Charger, Operating Manual. Smear sampler, contamination containment box and radiation detector. Contamination box 14 gauge steel, includes inboard hand cranked cable reel with 100 m of hard tether. Latched door opening is 25"Wide and 58" tall. Inside container is 54" deep. Hand crank is removable, box is wheeled. Training on use of Robot. Uses: Explosives handling, nuclear surveillance/maintenance, Hazmat response. Briefcase Controller. Provides capability away from a control van. Use with all data links, radio, fiber optic or cable.
