Q -- HOSPITAL SERVICES SOL RFQ 170-1755 DUE 111799 POC Curtis Courtney, (606) 253-8889 The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Prison Camp Alderson, West Virginia, has a requirement for Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital Services, to include physicians, bed space, emergency room, and ancillary services. The facility must be certified at time of award of meeting JCAHO requirements and maintain an ongoing quality assurance and utilization program. The facility must also meet all local, state, and Federal laws to operate as a hospital. All diagnosis shall be coded in I.D.-9 format. Medicare rates and/or DRG guidelines are highly desireable. All hostpital provided physicians shall be graduates of accredited medical school(s) and/or other medical staff shall be licensed, and/or board certified by the state of WV, and be in compliance with all other laws and regulations in effect. The factility shall be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for 52 weeks a year. The facility shall be within 75 driving miles of FPC Alderson. This will be a competitive procurement, price and other factors considered, with award being made to the offeror(s) determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards. Other factors include: Technical (Understanding SOW, Diversity of services, staff qualifications (equal weights), facility, training access, central billing, other documentation (equal weights)) and Past Performance (quality of service (worth more than the rest), timeliness of performance, business relations, customer satisfaction, subcontracting goals (equal weights)). There will be a Base year with four one year option periods. For each year of the contract, the following estimates are given: Inpatient Services guarenteed mininum 8.6 days, estimated maximum 86 days; Outpatient services guarenteed minimum 6.3 days, estimated maximum 63 days.
