The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13. This synopsis is for information purposes only. THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE PROCURED ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS with the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, D.C. The procurement is organize a jointly-sponsored workshop, with published proceedings, to explore the use of education, information and voluntary compliance programs to achieve environmental protection goals. The workshop will bring together experts/researchers in environmental education, public outreach and information program development and dissemination and the use of voluntary compliance strategies that promote adaptive responses from the individual, the household, the community and small to medium sized industries.
