This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13 and the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; there will be on written request for quotations issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation is N00244-99-T-0251. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This solicitation is issued on a restricted basis, under Standard Industrial Code 3812 with a small businesssize standard of 500 employees. FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a directed sole source procurement to Raytheon Information Technology and Scientific Services (ITSS) under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. FISC San Diego has a requirement for technical support for the GEODYN System as used for the GEOSAT Follow-On (GFO) Operational Orbit Determination (OOD) for the Naval Satellite Operations Center (NAVSOC). All items are to be delivered F.O.B. Destination to Naval Satellite Operations Center, 661 13th Street, Point Mugu, CA 93042-5003. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies. Addendum -- Paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public.
