Jenkins -- (708) 786-4929, Burnell Brusveen -- (708) 786-5139 The Department of Veterans Affairs National Acquisition Center (VANAC) intends to issue a solicitation for Laboratory Supply Items for Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities, located throughout the 48 States, District of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Contracts awarded shall be Indefinite Delivery, Requirements contracts with aggregate group awards as defined in the solicitation. Contract periods will be from the date of award through September 30, 2000 with four (4) one-year options. The Contractors shall provide the laboratory items and chemicals specified in the contracts directly to any VA medical facilities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico at the prices awarded herein and under the terms and conditions set forth in the contracts. Individual VA medical centers shall issue delivery orders to the contractors which shall indicate the specific items ordered, item quantities, all necessary delivery information and payment procedures. Items are listed in three (3) aggregate groups. Aggregate group one contains Biohazard Wipes and Laboratory Instrument wipes of various sizes and types. Aggregate group two contains Laboratory Glassware/Plasticware, including Test Tube Caps, Tissue Cassettes, Microscope Slides, Microscope Slide Cover Glass, Transfer Pipettes, Pipet Tips and Test Tubes of various sizes and types. Aggregate group three contains Laboratory Chemicals including Glacial Acetic Acid, Reagent Grade Acetone, Buffered Formalin Solution and Bleach of different sizes and types. Contractor must be capable of providing all of the listed items within an aggregate group, must be capable of providing an uninterrupted supply of all items, and must be capable of delivering to any VA medical facility in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation. Solicitation shall be issued on or about October 12, 1999 with offers due by Close of Business October 29, 1999. The VANAC reserves the option of holding a pre-proposal conference prior to the offer date. Requests for solicitation must be in writing or may be faxed to (708) 786-5256.
