combined synopsis/solicitation for the commercial procurement of
carpeting, covebase, stair treads, risers, supervision and labor to
install Shaw's Scholar Carpet or equal with Johnsonite Vinyl Covebase
or equal and Roundel Stair Treads and Risers or equal in the first and
second floor hallways, all stairwells and entries of Bld 1600, Hanscom
AFB, MA. Work shall be IAW the Statement of Work and must meet all
Local, State and Federal Codes. Material installed must be new, require
submittals and shall be neither used nor installed until approved by
the Project Manager. Existing carpeting, covebase, stair treads and
risers shall be removed and disposed of off base. Contractor shall
level sub floor with Majestic, ensure no debris, and perform final prep
for new carpet installation. All floors and entries shall receive new
matting. All work shall be completed within 30 calendar days of the
notice to proceed. Contractor shall move and relocate furniture, as
necessary. Contractor shall furnish all materials, unless identified as
Government-furnished, and be responsible for correcting any and all
deficiencies after walk through inspection with the appropriate
Government representative. Product Data and a standard commercial
warranty are required. This synopsis constitutes the only solicitation
that will be issued by the Government for this requirement. This
solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).
Solicitation provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-13. This requirement is set aside (100%)
for small business. Maximum business size is 500. The Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 2273. The Government
anticipates a Firm Fixed Price contract to be awarded as a result of

evaluation criteria for this solicitation will consist of best value,
quality, composition and application of product, availability to
