Duties are to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester, Kentucky. Duties include filing, and medical record report transcription. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. Individual requirements include: at least an associates degree in medical records or related field; knowledge of specialized medical documentation requirements, knowledge of proper grammer and medical terminology, and; ability to operate automatic typewriting/transcribing equipment. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government with price and other factors considered. Services will be required during the normal work week, with a maximum of fifteen (15) sessions per week (1 session = 2 hours) for an estimated maximum of 780 sessions per twelve month period. The base year will run for twelve months from date of award with three (3) option periods for renewal. Anticipated award date is November 24, 1999. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be mailed on approximately October 6, 1999 with an anticipated due date of November 5, 1999. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
