Jenkins -- (708) 786-4929, Burnell Brusveen -- (708) 786-5139 The Department of Veterans Affairs National Acquisition Center (VANAC) intends to issue a solicitation for Home Infusion Therapy Services for Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities, located in designated regions, throughout the 48 States, District of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Contracts awarded shall be Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contracts with multiple awards by regions as defined in the solicitation. Contract periods will be from the date of award through September 30, 2000 with a one-year option. Contractor(s) will provide home infusion therapy services to eligible veterans living within the services areas of the particular VA medical facilities. Infusion therapies will include: Total Parental Nutrition (TPN), antibiotic, antiviral and anti-fungal therapy, antineoplastic chemotherapy, pain management, hydration (fluid/electrolyte replacement) and other intravenous/subcutaneous (IV/SQ) Drugs. Contractor shall be capable of providing all required training, supplies, equipment, medication, infusion solutions, pharmacy compounding (using aseptic techniques in a laminar flow hood when applicable), follow-up visits and supervision necessary to provide home infusion therapy services to eligible veteran beneficiaries, living within designated VA geographic regions. VA medical centers shall issue task orders detailing the required level of service for their individual patients. Contractor shall be capable of providing any or all of the requested level of home infusion therapy services in accordance with the statement of work, terms and conditions of the solicitation. Solicitation shall be issued on or about October 8, 1999 with offers due by Close of Business November 9, 1999.
