378266 released on 090999. The Department of the Treasury, Departmental
Offices, Procurement Services Division, Room 1310G, Suite 400E, 1500
Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20220, is issuing this
modification to Solicitation A-99-0036. Following is additional
technical information: 1) EFT 99 -- EFT 99 is a government-wide effort
to make federal government payments electronically, pursuant to the
Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996. ETA Product -- The ETA is a
new low-cost account for receiving federal benefits that was designed
by the Treasury Department and is being offered at participating
federally insured depository institutions. FMS -- Treasury's Financial
Management Service. TBARR -- Treasury Building and Annex Renovation
and Restoration. 2) Is there a bidder's list available? No. 3) What
specific information would the Department of the Treasury make
available to the contractor? "All relevant documents will be available
at the Kickoff Meeting." Could Treasury be more specific? Treasury
will provide the contractor with copies of research it has previously
conducted on the non-bank financial industry, and research conducted in
conjunction with the EFT 99 effort generally. 4) Would Treasury provide
data on NBFIs? Treasury does not collect, and will not be able to
provide data on NBFIs. The purpose of the survey described in the
Statement of Work is to collect such data for representative geographic
areas. 5) Does the Treasury have lists of the "traditional financial
institutions" in a particular geographic area? It may be possible to
work with federal banking regulators to construct a list of federally
insured financial institutions in a particular geographic area. 6) Does
the Treasury have lists of the ATM sites in particular geographic
areas? It does not. The proposal due date is extended from 4:00 PM,
EDT, September 22, 1999 to 4:00 PM, EDT, September 23, 1999. Award of
this contract shall be subject to the availability of funds. Submit
