The Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic intends to issue a request for quotation pursuant to FAR 13.5, Test Procedures -- Certain Commercial Items to lease portable marine structures to be sustained on-board Army Landing Craft Units (LCUs) for Coast Guard Personnel while underway during operations in the Carribean. A portion of the lease period will require the buildings to be demobilized from the LCUs and placed on an at-shore status for a portion of the lease period. The total lease period required is 12 months from 01 October 1999 through 30 September 2000 as follows: one each 10' X 32' 10-Man Sleeping facility with bath; one each 10' X 32'recreation building with messing facilities; two each 10' X 40' storage buildings; one each caged ladder; tow each 2000 gallon potable water tanks; one each dual water pressure distribution system; mobilization and demobilization of the facilities 6 times each in NS Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. Specific requirements for the marine facilitiesare available in the RFQ. The buildings shall be shipped FOB Origin to Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. This procurement is a Small Business Set-Aside. The SIC Code is 3448 is assigned. The size standard is 500 employees. The solicitation will be issued on 20 September 1999 with a closing date of 24 September 1999.
