This is a notice of intent to award a firm-fixed price contract to Swede Survival Systems, Inc. for Flashover Container System & Educational Program, Line Item 0001: Container system specification and set-up requirements. Physical: Dimensions, burn container 10' long, 8' wide, 11 high. Observation Container, 20' long, 8' wide, 8' high. Total weight: Approximately 1500 pounds. Construction and Included items: Partek high performance insulation in burn container, 14 gauge steel, 5/8" chain on walls, ceiling and doors of burn container, cooling ventilation system, concrete paving to line floor of burn container, pike pole for loading particle board, crib fire drum, side entry doors without locks, access for hose line, jacks for additional support of burn container. Two day advanced "Train the Trainer" course conducted by two certified instructors including the following: Ignition Sources, Fire Behavior, Formation of fire gases, Fire Control, Container operations, Hydration, Heat stress, SCBA and safety equipment training, Heat stress management, Recognition of pre-flashover conditions, Smoke and ventilation exercises, Nozzle technique, Container Management, and Safety. No solicitation exists and none will be issued as a result of this notice. This procurement will utilize all applicable commercial items. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered by this agency. Telephone inquires will not be accepted. Written responses, including GSA Contract Number, if applicable, prices, and technical data sufficient enough to determine capability to meet the requirement must be received by this office within 7 calendar days after publication of this notice. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more adventageous to the government, is available, a contract will be entered into with the above named vendor. Responses must state that the vendor is not currently on the consolidated list of debarred, suspended and ineligible contractors or on thelist of contractors indebted to the United States or otherwise ineligible to receive Government contracts.
