AMSSB-ACN, Natick, MA 01760-5011 58 -- HIGH-SPEED VIDEO CAMERA SYSTEM SOL W13G07-CBD-0015 DUE 092999
POC Xinia Llovet-Zurinaga (508) 233-4146 E-MAIL: to contact the
contract specialist, xllovetz@natick-notes02.army.mil. The U.S. Army
Soldier, Biological Chemical Command's -- Natick Soldier Center
(USASBCCOM-NSC) proposes to enter into a sole source contract action
with Peak Performance Tech of Englewood, CO. This proposed contract
action is for a commercial item for which the Government intends to
solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR
6.302. Request for four (4) high-speed video cameras, operating at
60/180 Hz, consisting of : Black/white variable shuttered cameras;
Recorders, Viewfinder; Genlock unit; 6x zoom lens; Carrying case; and
Cable kit. These cameras are to be used with a 2D/3D Video-Computer
Motion Measurement System produced by Peak Performance Technologies,
Inc. The Motion Measurement System is an existent system at Natick,
already in use in the Biomechanics Lab. The higher speed cameras are
required to allow for the capture of high impact, quick movements,
which can then be processed and analyzed using the existent Motion
Measurement System. The cameras presently in use operate at a lower
speed and do not allow for the accurate recording and analysis of such
high impact movements as running and jumping. Therefore, the high
speed cameras must operate as part of and be compatible with the
existent Video-Computer Motion Measurement System, which is developed
and produced by Peak Performance Technologies, Inc. This procurement is
to enhance existent capabilities by building on an existent system. No
solicitation currently exits. All responses received within 10
calendar days after publication of this notice will be considered. Note
22 is hereby amended to read 10 days instead of 45. Posted 09/20/99
