THE WORK CONSIST OF THE REMOVAL, REPAIR, AND REPLACEMENT OF THE SOUTH TANK LINE IN BUILDING 4760. THE LINE IS USED FOR THE SURFACE TREATMENT OF STAINLESS STEEL ITEMS. SOME TANKS WILL BE REPLACED WITH NEW AND SOME WILL BE REPAIRED, RELINED, AND REUSED. ASSOCIATED DUCT WORK, FANS, PUMPS, PIPING, ETC. ARE TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. ALL REQUEST FOR THIS PROJECT MUST BE IN WRITING, AND LIST THE REQUESTORS COMPLETE NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE AND FAX NUMBERS.A $25.00 CASHIERS CHECK MADE PAYABLE TO "NASA CASHIER" MUST ACCOMPANY ANY REQUEST PLANS AND DRAWINGS. AN IFB SOLICIATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL FUNDS ARE MADE AVAILABLE. The order of magnitude for the procurement is BETWEEN 1-5 MILLION and the effort shall be completed within 360 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small busines size standard forthis procurement are 1541 and 17M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about OCTOBER 15, 1999 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about NOVEMBER 15, 1999. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 13. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from the PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT. All responsible qualified sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
