The United States Air Force is requesting proposals to furnish all services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to renovate the Hanscom Family Camp by upgrading electrical service for 21 existing RV sites to 50 Amps, demolishing a 16 RV site area and reconfiguring it into 28 sites, and constructing a 780 SF bathhouse. This project will be a Request for Proposal (RFP). The principle items of work include, but are not limited to, all site work, all utilities to the RV sites and bathhouse, repair of site turf, reconfiguration of area access roads, installation of bathhouse foundation, construction of roofed structure, installation of plumbing fixtures, electrical work and fixtures, and heating/cooling system. The contractor will be allowed 180 calendar days to complete the renovation of camp area and to construct bathhouse. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Solicitation for this project will ONLY be available at the following Internet address: http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil. There will be no mailings of these items. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award. Applications for CCR registration may be obtained at the following Internet address: http://www.acq.osd.mil/ec. A site visit will be scheduled at a date to be determine. Tentative date for issuance of RFP is 15 OCT 99. Tentative due date of RFP is 15 NOV 99. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after receipt of proposals, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Steven H. Sheldon, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired.
