Project is located on the Salmon River Ranger District of the Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho. Location of Project -- Beginning of project work area is located approx 33 miles easterly of Riggins, Idaho: From junction of US 95 and Salmon River Road #1614 (County) proceed 9.7 miles along Road #1614 to junction with FDR #221 at the mouth of Allison Creek; proceed northerly along Road #221 approx 2.9 miles to the junction with FDR #263; proceed generally westerly along Road #263 (8.8 miles), FDR #2007 (3.1 miles), FDR #2078 (4.5 miles), FDR #263 (3.8 miles), and FDR #263B (0.5 miles) to the beginning of project. Project consists of various types of road restoration including partial recontouring, scarification, removal of culverts, installing grade control structures, seeding and hand straw mulching and other related and associated work. Pre-bid tour is scheduled for October 29, 1999 to begin at the Supervisor's Office at Grangeville, Idaho at 8:00 a.m. Estimated start work is June 1, 2000.
