NASA/GRC plans to issue an Invitation for Bids(IFB)for a prime construction contractor to provide labor, materials and equipment necessary to remove IRMA roofs and existing roof membranes and insulation, and install new cold-applied, built-up roof systems on roof areas of Buildings 5, 23 and 38 at NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland,Ohio. The order of magnitude for this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Period of performance is 150 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed in May 2000. The SIC code is 1761. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about October 29, 1999 with fixed price bids due tentatively November 29, 1999. All qualified responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Agency. All prospective bidders shall notify this office by e-mail or regular mail before October 29, 1999 to be placed on mailing list to receive copy of the IFB(hard copies will be mailed to requestors).
