J -- PUMPS AND COMPRESSORS DUE 110899 POC For copy, OC-ALC/PKXDA TINKER AFB OK 73145-3015, For additional information contact John Pickle/Pkcc/[405]736-3191 In accordance with FAR 9.2 and Public Law 98.525, this synopsis constitutes notice that the Air Force has established Qualification Requirements (QR's) for the overhaul of the following items: Hydraulic Reservoir, NSN 4320-00-295-2369HS, PN 72708-5; Hydraulic Reservoir, NSN 4320-01-286-3686HS, PN 72708-6; Hydraulic Reservoir, NSN 4320-00-531- 6029HS, PN 72709-13; Hydraulic Reservoir, NSN 4320-01-285-5844HS, PN 72709- 14, all items applicable to F-15 acft. The subject items are "bootstrap" type reservoirs which maintain positive hydraulic fluid pressure to system pumps at all times. The design allows the reservoir to compensate for aircraft altitude, and changes in system volume due to temperature differentials and demands due to unequal area actuators. These components also incorporate a reservoir level sensing circuit which detects system leakage, preventing reservoir depletion. This is not an RFP. No solicitation document exists.
