The Department of Housing and Urban Development (DHUD) has a requirement for Legal Services to assist the Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner, in addressing current DHUD legal issues. It is anticipated multiple Indefinite Quantity Fixed-Price Contract Award(s) be made under this requirement. This requirement is a partial set-aside with a minimum of one award made to a qualified small or small disadvantaged business. The services will include addressing legal issues regarding mortgage loan origination and servicing, property management and disposition, correction of project management problems, as well as any actions necessary to prepare and sell HUD-held loans and HUD-owned properties. The solicitation shall provide the detailed specifications for the services being requested. The period of performance for this effort will be a twelve month base period with four-twelve month option periods. The solicitation shall be made available on or about October 8, 1999.
