862-1120 The hopper dredge shall be of the self-propelled trailing
suction type, equipped with two trailing suction pipes, each of which
has its own dredge pump. The dredge will primarily be used for
maintenance dredging operations in the Mississippi River, Baton Rouge
to the Gulf of Mexico, LA project, in the area known as the Mississippi
River Crossings, between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA. Due to
anticipated shoaling rates only dredges with tested dredge-and-haul
production rates of at least 30,000 cubic yards per day, and a tested
agitation rate of at least 75,000 cubic yards per day are acceptable
for use under this contract. Work may be required in other areas of the
New Orleans District and in areas of both the Galveston and Mobile
