Huff, Contracting Officer and Point of Contact, (402) 437-4077; 100 Centennial Mall North, Room 152, Lincoln, NE 68508 Due to heavy rains and resultant flooding conditions, the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service, will be contracting for various projects to relieve hazards to life and property. The type of work may include debris removal, deposition removal, installation of rock riprap, repair or replacement of concrete and/or sheet piling, and repair of dikes or levees. Alternative payment protection in the amount of 50% of contract amount in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit will be required within 5 calendar days of award of contract. Bid security as well as performance and payment security will be required for solicitations and contracts in excess of $100,000. Performance and payment security will be required within 5 calendar days after award of contract. The location of the work sites will be within Colorado in the flooded areas as described in the solicitations. Individual requests for quotations or invitations for bid will be issued to all interested parties. The price rangeof various projects will be from $25,000 to $500,000. All responsible sources may submit offers which may be considered by the agency.
