SYNOPSIS OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SIX MONTH EXTENSION TO CONTRACT N68520-95-D-0002 Special Notice. This is not a RFP. The Government intends to negotiate and issue a sole source modification to extend Contract N68520-95-D-0002 for six (6) months pursuant to FAR Par 6.301-1. The purpose of the modification is to provide C-9 JT8D Engine Depot Level Maintenance until completion of a competitive award. The modification will extend the contract for the period of 01 February 2000 through 31 July 2000, at which time a competitive awarded contract will commence. The current contractor, AeroThrust Corp, is the only source available to provide the required services for a six-month period, due to extensive manning, parts, and short time frame of performance for which the services are required.
