necessary to remove asphalt, regrade aggregate base and replace with
new asphalt and to provide pavement striping at the new Coast Guard
Base located within Army Corps of Engineers Service Base located at
Foot of Arsenal Street. St. Louis, Missouri. The work includes, but is
not limited to, removal of existing asphalt surface course and 2"
wearing surface course; grading and compacting the gravel base;
performing density tests; adjusting existing manholes, storm drains and
valve boxes to ensure proper drainage; core drilling within manholes to
allow drainage; preparing surfaces for pavement striping; striping
crosswalks on the new asphalt road; installing guard posts; striping
four spaces on the concrete parking area; and striping parking spaces
on the asphalt pavement. All work shall be accomplished in accordance
with the specification and Drawings C-1, C-2, and C-3. All work shall
be completed within 75 calendar days after award. The Request for
Quotation will be available on October 12, 1999. To receive the Request
for Quotation, submit a written request to the address above. Telephone
inquiries will not be honored. Quotes will be due on November 2, 1999
prior to 4:30 p.m. EDT. The estimated construction cost is between
$25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The solicitation is unrestricted IAW the
