Anniston Army Depot is seeking companies who have the capability to provide enclosures or any other equipment which will reduce the noise level and collect dust generated by a High Pressure Water Jet Cutting System. The system currently produces sound levels of 85 dBA and must be reduced to not exceed 80 dBA measured at a distance of three feet from the equipment. This system also produces dust that escapes the area and settles on adjacent equipment. Mist is produced during the cutting process which also must be contained. The metal plate being cut by the system, and the parts generated from the cutting process must be loaded/unloaded by an existing overhead bridge crane. The operator of the system must be able to observe the cutting process. In addition, a smaller enclosure may be required for this system to cover the high pressure pump unit . If proposed, the smaller enclosure will also need ventilation and noise reduction. All proposed enclosures must allow for equipment maintenance. Additional waysto accomplish noise reduction, dust collection, mist containment for this system are welcome.
