POC Mr. Olsson 210 221 3250. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Provide animal caretaker services seven days per week, eight hours per day, Monday-Friday and six hours per day, Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Responsible for husbandry of animal species to include but not limited to mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, sheep, goats, and swine. Supports the needs of a population of animals that approximates 75. Accomplishes the sanitary maintenance of approximately 6000 square feet of animal facilities including indoor housing and outside exercise areas in building T2660, T3840 and the dog kennels outside T2660. Certification of training in the laboratory animal field by the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) is desirable. Position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with District 5 ITPE, NMU/MEBA.
