Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dry dock repairs including, but not limited to the following Base Items: (1) Inspect skeg top plate, (2) Remove and dispose of diesel fuel (up to 5,000 gallons), (3) Remove and dispose of oil and oily water (up to 100 gallons), (4) Clean and inspect diesel fuel and waste oil tanks, (5) Clean and inspect potable water, grey water, and sewage tanks, (6) Renew watertight hatch assemblies, (7) Inspect bronze sleeves in various shaft packing areas, (8) Remove, inspect, and reinstall propeller shafts, (9) Straighten propeller shaft, (10) Renew water lubricated propeller shaft bearings, (11) Remove and reinstall propellers, (12) Inspect MDE exhaust system, (13) Preserve the V850 transducer hull ring, (14) Improve ship's ventilation (ShipAlt No. 110-C-064), (15) Overhaul, renew, and test valves, (16) Inspect and overhaul duplex sea strainers, (17) Overhaul bilge pump assemblies, (18) Remove and reinstall rudders, (19) Overhaul stabilizing fins, (20) Hydroblast sewage and grey water system piping, (21) Overhaul sewage pump assembly, (22) Renew bulkhead flat bar and preserve forepeak compartment, (23) Prepare and prime weather decks, (24) Coating thickness measurement nondestructive, (25) Underwater appendage preservation, (26) Preserve bilge areas below fin stabilizers, (27) Preserve freeboard, (28) Inspect and maintain cathodic protection system, (29) Provide temporary messing, (30) Provide temporary berthing, (31) Provide temporary logistics, (32) Routine drydocking, and (33) GFP report in accordance with solicitation section H. Options include, but are not limited to the following items: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew skeg top plate, (3) Minor coating repairs -- potable water, grey water and sewage tanks, (4) Preserve potable water, grey water and sewage tanks, (5) Remove and fabricate, fit, and install bronze sleeve, (6) Inspect and install Government furnished propeller shaft, (7) Inspect and install government furnished propeller shaft, (8) Perform stern tube/strut alignment inspection (subsection 3.6), (9) Perform reduction gear-to-shaft alignment inspection, (10) Repair propeller root erosion, (11) Renew rudder bearings, (12) Renew lower fin stock bearing, (13) Preserve underwater body, (14) Renew reference electrode, (15) Renew cathodic anode, (16) Renew capastic fairing, (17) Provide additional temporary messing, (18) Provide additional temporary berthing, (19) Ultrasonic testing, (20) Provide additional temporary logistics, (21) Composite Labor Rate, and (22) Laydays. Vessel's homeport is Corpus Christi, Texas. Vessel's length is 110 foot, "C" Class Patrol Boat. Vessel availability schedule is for forty-two (42) days, starting January 18, 2000. The place of performance for this vessel is not geographically restricted. There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required, in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. Funds are available for this procurement. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or around October 11, 1999.
